If there's one company that is in dire straits in the video game industry, it has got to be Capcom. It's hard to believe that the same entity that has brought life to such franchises as Street Fighter and Resident Evil has now been reduced to such a small stature. Needless to say, they are going to be in trouble if they do not change their strategies for the better. Why would they want to continue to work with a concept that has done nothing more than raised the ire of gamers? It seems like something that would drive consumers away as opposed to bring them in.

Capcom has to be able to help itself out of the hole that it has dug itself into, whether marketing efforts are able to come into play or not. I do not know, however, if they will be able to bring themselves out of the financial crisis it is stuck with right now. Gamers have very strong memories and they understand what sorts of actions they have pulled at the expense of buyers. Trust is hard to earn by, especially when you're talking about the video game industry at large.
