Bylaws are everywhere. It can be in your home, your school and some other places. Companies are not an exemption. They also have rules that you need to follow even as a manager. Also, since you have the authority on a specific division, you also have the power to create your own regulations.

Hiring and firing an employee is your job as well. It is up to you on whom you want to lay off. Just make sure that you have enough reasons why you did it. In some businesses, you can also have the authority to elevate an employees position depending on his or her performance. Though, some companies might have different procedures regarding promotion.

A degree in business administration, finance or some other business related course is what this field requires. In some high standard establishments, they prefer a masters degree to get considered. Of course, having just a degree will not guarantee that you can get the job. You need to have the required skill as well.

Maybe the tiring part of being in the job, is handling irate customers. We cannot deny that even though you already did your best to provide satisfaction to your customers, they still complain in certain things. It is your job to find resolves to these complaints as soon as possible to protect the companies reputation.

A manager can be a fulfilling task specially if you know that the department you are handling is improving due to your efforts. Do not worry too much about complaints, it is part of being in a business. Take it as a positive criticism and use that to improve your quality of service in the future.
