Using Conversion Focused Email Marketing Strategies

By Ravinder Motlani

Clearly, optimizing online marketing techniques such as conversion focused email marketing strategies work if you know what you're doing. In order to have a successful conversion focused campaign it's important to shift the focus on driving the traffic to your site and focus instead on making the traffic that does come more beneficial to your company. These proven strategies work for many companies and chances are, they will work well for your company as well.

Give Them Something: Customers won't open an email if it doesn't appear that it will offer them any benefit. That said, give them what they want and you'll find that you have more customers and business than anticipated. What can your email offer the customer? Will it help them in the long run? Does it give them tips and tricks? Will it encourage them to want to click on the link provided and perhaps make a purchase? It's all in the wording. Stay focused and provide them with the right option and in most cases a new customer will be born.

Avoid Being Too Busy: Pages that are too busy won't get you customers, in fact, customers will leave as they can't find what they're looking for. Let the email lead the customer to a clean page and encourage them to either enter their search term, or have valuable information at their fingertips in order to retain them as a customer.

Go Mobile: In today's modern technological society, there is a high percentage of potential customers that rely upon smartphone, tablets or even a netbook or laptop to do over 90 percent of their business. This means that if your company isn't using a mobile friendly page, you risk losing out on a huge pool of potential customers. Mobile friendly sites adjust to the screen size readily and potential customers don't have to scroll from one side of the screen to the other. This saves the potential customer time and money and gives your business the leading edge.

Opt Outs:It's important to always give the option of opting out of your emails. This can go at the bottom of the email as an "Unsubscribe" button. Be sure to let them know "no questions asked" and allow the potential customer the freedom of making this choice. There may be a few opt outs but in most cases, customers appreciate the opportunity to get a good deal. These tips and tricks will help your business to grow exponentially by using conversion focused email marketing strategies.
